We’re looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our growing team at Stargate Hydrogen. You will become part of the R&D team, running and maintaining lab-scale electrolysis experiments to support both electrode development and stack development activities. You will be reporting to the Head of Cell and Stack Testing (Ronald Väli). You'd fit perfectly into this role and our culture if you are naturally curious, enjoy having a laugh from time to time, and are ready to take ownership of your work.
What does the day-to-day look like in this role?
- Running lab-scale electrolysis experiments to help identify novel materials and support electrode development activities
- Servicing laboratory equipment and ensuring supply of spare parts and consumables
- Develop and modify the test system
- Documenting experimental results and analyses in an electronic lab journal
- Contributing to day-to-day planning of laboratory activities and to scale-up plans

Must-have characteristics:
- Education in Engineering, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry or similar
- Passion for hands-on work in the lab and in the workshop
- Systematic approach to problem-solving and documentation
- Excel working in a team
- Ability to take charge of problems
- Great communication skills in English
- Sense of urgency for developing products that can help accelerate the green transition
Nice-to-have characteristics:
- Experience with operating laboratory equipment
- Experience with working in a lab or in a mechanical workshop
- Experience in an industrial setting
