Details about the role
The Estonian Student Satellite Foundation is seeking a motivated electronics engineer to work on the electronics of our CubeSat Command Module project. The electrical engineer is responsible for designing and testing the EPS, System-on-a-Module carrier board, defining electrical interfaces along with keeping EMC requirements in mind.
You will design and update schematics and PCBs using KiCad, then assemble and solder your circuits. The job expects you to be willing to debug PCBs using lab equipment such as an oscilloscope, bench-top power supply, and multimeter, also providing support for subsystem testing and integration for flight and ground hardware.
Remote work is possible in the design phase but the assembly and testing of the created circuits is to happen in Tartu Observatory Space Technology labs. The on-site work can happen during dedicated assembly and testing days for people working away from Tartu.
Expectations for the candidate
For this position, prior experience in electronics engineering is required. The applicant should have previous experience with designing electronic systems, and experience with KiCad is helpful.
