Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and manufacturability of our cutting-edge hydrogen generators. In this role, you will focus on the detailed mechanical design of components and assemblies, creating documentation for serial production, and working hands-on with prototypes.

You will work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to turn concepts into reality. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in mechanical design, experience with CAD, and a willingness to learn and apply design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles in a fast-paced environment.

Ootused kandidaadile

Key Responsibilities
- Design and model mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software to meet technical specifications and project timelines.
- Engage in hands-on work, including assembling prototypes, performing mechanical tests, and troubleshooting issues to validate designs.
- Create and maintain detailed 2D drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
- Apply DFM principles to designs to ensure parts can be manufactured cost-effectively and assembled efficiently; collaborate with suppliers to resolve minor technical issues.
- Participate in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) sessions and suggest design improvements for existing products.
- Work closely with electrical engineers and production teams to ensure the physical integration of systems is seamless.
- Assist in ensuring designs meet relevant industry standards and safety regulations.

Essential Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant work experience in mechanical engineering or product development.
- Strong proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) and experience creating technical drawings.
- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and common manufacturing techniques (sheet metal, machining, injection molding, etc.).
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) concepts and an interest in applying them to serial production products.
- Practical skills in assembly, using workshop tools, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well within a team.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.

Advantageous Skills
- Experience working with fuel cells, electrolysers, or battery technologies.
- Exposure to Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural or thermal simulation.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A strong interest in sustainable energy technologies.

Võimalused

At PowerUP, you will have a unique opportunity to join a groundbreaking company and help advance sustainable energy technology. You will work in a collaborative environment and have excellent opportunities for professional growth within a friendly, multinational team.
